Allen Vizzutti

Biography

Allen Vizzutti has visited 70 countries and every state in the union to perform with a rainbow of artists and ensembles as both a classical and jazz artist. He has appeared as guest soloist with symphony orchestras, in recital, on television and in jazz venues around the world. Allen’s soaring trumpet sound can be heard on 15 solo recordings and on over 150 movies and game soundtracks including Star Trek. Back to the Future, Halo, Medal of Honor, and World of Warcraft.

Vizzutti has toured extensively with Chick Corea, Woody Herman, Chuck Mangione, Doc Severinsen’s Tonight Show Band and his own jazz fusion group, Red Metal. Allen’s love of expression through composition has led to premier performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Budapest Radio Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic of London, Nuremberg Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Summit Brass, and the US Navy and US Air Force Bands. He is a strong proponent of music education, and his Allen Vizzutti Trumpet Method has become a standard treatise used worldwide. His recent jazz recording, Ritzville features Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke. Allen is a Yamaha Performing Artist.
